AI Act gap check · 30 minutes

Do you know where your biggest AI Act risk sits? Get direction in 30 minutes.

Many organizations feel AI Act pressure, but do not know where to start. We identify your first gap priority: inventory, classification, vendor evidence, AI literacy, policy, DPIA/FRIA or leadership roadmap.

Recognizable situations

This page is for organizations that know something needs to happen, but do not yet know which route is logical.

Leadership asks: where do we stand on the AI Act and which risk is largest?

Legal or compliance needs priorities without starting an open-ended consulting project.

IT and procurement do not know which SaaS tools now include AI features.

HR or L&D has delivered training, but evidence and role mapping are unclear.

There is no current AI inventory or use-case classification is still guesswork.

A customer, auditor, parent company or regulator asks for policy, evidence or supplier control.

Which gap do we find first?

The check is not meant to solve everything at once. We find the first bottleneck slowing down the rest of your AI Act route.

AI inventory or register

Which AI systems, pilots, vendor features and internal workflows already exist, and who owns them?

Risk classification

Which use cases look high-risk, transparency-related, GPAI-related or low-risk?

Vendor evidence

Which supplier claims are substantiated and which contract or evidence items are still missing?

AI literacy

Can you show that involved employees use AI responsibly for their role and context?

AI policy and controls

Are there clear rules for tools, data, human review, source checks and escalation?

DPIA/FRIA and privacy

Which AI systems affect people, personal data, bias, fundamental rights or sensitive decisions?

Leadership roadmap

Which 30-60-90 day actions make sense for leadership, board, compliance or audit committee?

No-regret actions

Which actions can you start now without waiting for a full legal analysis or tooling choice?

What do you get after the check?

The result is not a thick audit. It is direction for the next practical step.

A first AI Act gap priority based on your situation, role, urgency and known AI use.

A practical next step: inventory, readiness sprint, vendor check, AI policy, literacy evidence or DPIA/FRIA scope.

A short route to explain internally why this step should come first.

A view on what not to do yet, so you do not lose time on false certainty.

Approach

1. Intake question

You complete the short AI Act Gap Intake with organization, role, urgency and biggest concern.

2. Sharpen context

We look at AI use, teams, suppliers, existing documents and the internal or external question on the table.

3. Determine gap direction

We identify which gap blocks progress: overview, classification, vendor evidence, training, policy or impact analysis.

4. Concrete route

You receive a logical next step with scope: handle internally, short check, sprint or decision document.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a full AI Act audit?

No. The gap check is a low-friction first step to determine where your largest risk or delay sits. A full audit, readiness sprint or impact analysis can follow if that is logical.

What should I prepare?

Only basic context: organization type, your role, the AI question at hand, known tools or suppliers and why there is urgency now. A complete AI inventory is not required.

What if we do not have an AI inventory yet?

Then that is often the first gap. Without inventory, classification, vendor review, policy and evidence largely rest on assumptions.

Is this legal advice?

No. Embed AI helps with practical AI governance, implementation, evidence and prioritization. For formal legal advice or representation, involve legal counsel.

How is this different from the readiness sprint?

The gap check gives fast direction and priority. The readiness sprint produces a worked-out file with inventory baseline, classification, gap matrix, vendor/DPIA/FRIA signals and roadmap.
